The AKG WMS40 PRO Sports Set UHF wireless system consists of the PT40 PRO pocket transmitter, C444 L head-worn microphone, and the SR40 receiver. WMS 40 PRO systems operate on fixed UHF frequencies.UHF operates in a higher frequency range than VHF systems. The VHF range is very highly populated with traffic, and because the VHF signal has a longer wave length, VHF radio signals pass through non-metallic walls easier than a UHF signal, making VHF wireless systems more prone to radio interference. Though more expensive than VHF wireless, UHF is well worth the extra cost.

AKG C444 L HEAD-WORN MICROPHONE

The new C444 L head-worn microphone from AKG is rugged, extremely easy to use, and offers outstanding price/performance. Resting securely and comfortably on the head, the C 444 L is the ideal microphone for any handsfree application including gymnastics instruction, presentations, or onstage performances. With its new cheek pads, the C444 L will stay in place even if you turn your head abruptly and a capsule shock mount reduces handling noise to a minimum. A frequency response rise at 10 kHz and rolloff below 800 Hz ensure optimum audio and intelligibility even in noisy environments.
